Jeff joined the City of Fairfield on April 1, 2009 as the city administrator. He is
responsible for managing all operations of the City and reports to the mayor and city council. Jeff began his career in government in 1985 working for Mexia State School. In 1992, while still working for the State he became the city judge in Mexia. After working for the State for 11 years, he became the city administrator in two cities in Texas and one town in Colorado. Memberships include the Texas City Management Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, Texas Municipal League’s Small Cities Advisory Council, International City/County Management Association, Rotary International and president of the Camp of the Rising Sun. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University and a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of North Texas.
Jana Taylor

Jana joined the City of Fairfield on March 1, 2001 as the City Secretary. She handles the day-to-day processes of accounts payable, payroll, insurance, retirement, human resources and other duties set out by the city administrator and the State. In addition to keeping city records, Jana prepares the City Council agendas and packets as well as keeps record of and takes minutes of the council meetings. She is responsible for the election process. Jana is a Notary Public and member of the Municipal Clerks’ Association.

Diane has been employed with the City of Fairfield for over 10 years. She provides administrative support to the City Administrator. Diane processes building permits and code compliance complaints as well as prepares and distributes the annual Drinking Water Quality Report. She handles the City-owned facilities’ reservation process and updates the Calendar of Events on the City web site. Diane is a Notary Public. Since 2000, she has been on the Board of Directors of the Butler Water Supply Corporation and served as the secretary-treasurer.

Stephanie Nichols

Stephanie started working with the City of Fairfield January, 2010. She sets up, changes and closes water, sewer, and garbage accounts. Stephanie processes bills, accepts/records payments, prepares work orders and generates reports. She provides customer service while supplying information and assisting the public. Stephanie is a quilter and supports the community through her church and Kairos prison ministry.
