The Director of Public Works is responsible for organizing and directing the activities of the City’s water and wastewater infrastructure; street construction & maintenance; drainage; signs; mowing city streets and alleyways; equipment services; maintenance of parks, fairgrounds, medians, ball fields, and city-owned facilities.

Parks & Recreation Department
Fairfield’s Parks and Recreation Department strives to enhance and improve the quality of life of all its citizens, promote tourism, and contribute to community aesthetics. Whether you are into sports, nature or just want to take your kids to a playground, come out & enjoy the City of Fairfield’s parks & ball fields!
Although crews inspect sites on a regular basis, litter or vandalism may occur, or additional maintenance may be necessary between visits. The next time you visit\one of the sites & notice anything that needs attention, please report it to the Parks Department at 903-389-2633.
