He has a Class “A” Water License and a Class “B” Wastewater License, along with being certified as a Customer Service Inspector. The Public Works Utility Division is responsible for maintenance of the City’s water and wastewater infrastructure. This includes four water wells, two water treatment plants, 10 lift stations in the City limits, two main lift stations, and a 1.5 million gallons a day waste water treatment plant that serves the City of Fairfield, a 200,000-gallon package plant that serves the Boyd Unit and two water wells with a water treatment plant located about five miles outside the City limits.

He is responsible for maintaining the parks, ball fields, fairgrounds, medians, and all city-owned buildings. Jerry focuses on beautifying the courthouse square and downtown area with flowers and seasonal decorations. Jerry assists in organizing city functions. He coordinates the Fun Day in the Park activities, an annual event for the 4th through the 8th graders, with the Fairfield Independent School District teachers. Jerry holds a private applicators license and several certifications in the areas of pumps, motors, and ball field maintenance. Jerry works closely with the soccer and softball associations. He represents the City serving on the Fair Board and several committees: Christmas, Halloween, Show of Wheels, fair parades, rodeos, stock shows, and Movies in the Park.

He is responsible for all new construction of water main lines and wastewater main lines as well as maintaining existing lines located throughout the City’s infrastructure. He ensures all mowing of city streets and alleyways are completed in a timely manner as well as all drainage issues. Gary is also responsible for the maintenance of city streets as well as street signs and asphalting.

He has a Class “A” Wastewater License, Class “C” Ground Water License and a Class “C” Surface Water License. Tony is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of water and wastewater utilities at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Boyd Unit, which consists of two water wells; 450,000 gallon ground water treatment plant and a 200,000 gallon wastewater treatment plant. Tony is active in the Freestone County Soccer Association.

He has a Class “C” Water License, a Class “B” Wastewater License, and an Apprentice Electrician License. He is responsible for maintaining the City water plants and collection system which includes four water wells and 12 lift stations. He oversees a 1.5 million gallons a day wastewater treatment plant which serves the City of Fairfield.
