Communications Section

The Communications Section provides a wide variety of both emergency and non-emergency communication services to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is often the first point of contact citizens have with the Department.

This Section also provides the Officers with a number of support services such as conducting wanted person searches, vehicle registration, stolen checks, and driver license checks through the state and national law enforcement computer networks.

The Communications section is staffed by 4 full-time and 1 part-time Telecommunicators.
