Garbage Pickup
The City of Fairfield contracts with Waste Connections for residential and commercial garbage pickup. Below is information for residents and businesses. For questions, please call City Hall at 903-389-2633, or Waste Connections at 903-723-4670.
Residents
For residents, garbage is picked up on Mondays and Thursdays. Weekly garbage pickup rates start at $10.99 a month for one residential cart. Residential rates are below:

Residents who have garbage pickup with the city also receive free bulk pickup on the last Wednesday of the month. Please call Waste Connections at 903-723-4670 to schedule pickup. Waste Connections will pick up the following:
- Up to 3 cubic yards (the size of a standard truck bed) of bulk
- Customers must call Waste Connections (903-723-4670) by 5 p.m. on the Friday before pickup day to schedule pickup.
- Bulky items must be placed out for collection on the curb no later than 7 a.m. on pickup day.
- Bulky items must be able to be lifted safely by one person.
- Limbs and brush are allowed, but must be cut to under four feet in length, bundled by twine, and under 35 lbs.
- The following items are NOT accepted:
- Refrigerators or freezers with the compressor attached. (A licensed technician must remove the compressor and tag the appliance.)
- Tires
- Paint
- Chemicals
- Oil
- Batteries
Commercial Pickup
The following rates for commercial cart and dumpster pickup are below. Cart pickups are on the same day as residential pickups.

Rolloffs
Residential and Commercial customers who need rolloff service must call Waste Connections at 903-723-4670 to schedule delivery and pickup. Below are the rates for rolloffs.
